Marfa writer-artist-teacher-adventurer Marie Blazek will read from her brand-new memoir entitled Let Go of the Rope, on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 6 p.m., in the FSB Reading Room, 201 E. Holland Ave. The evening includes a social and light refreshments. The public is welcome.

Welcome Lawrence John (aka Larry) Francell for a reception and book signing at 7 p.m. Friday in the Reading Room, 201 E. Holland. Mr. Francell is well known as longtime director of the Museum of the Big Bend. His new book is Images of America: Fort Davis (Arcadia 2011), a pictorial history with wonderful vintage photographs
and detailed captions that present a lifelike history of the region, the Fort, and the people of Fort Davis.
